First Convocation Program at Thanjavur Tamil University by Brahma Kumaris

The First convocation program of the Diploma in Value Education and Spirituality was facilitated by the Brahma Kumaris of Thanjavur Tamil University, in Tamil Nadu, at Vishwa Shanti Bhawan premises, Madurai Sub-Zonal Headquarters of the Brahma Kumaris in Madurai.

The Chief Guests on this occasion were BK Mruthyunjaya, Chairman, Education Wing, Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation (RERF), Mount Abu, Rajasthan; BK Meenakshi, Director of Brahma Kumaris, Madurai Sub-Zone; Dr. BK Pandiamani, Director of Value Education Programs at Mount Abu, Rajasthan; BK Uma, Co-ordinator of Brahma Kumaris in Madurai Sub-Zone; BK Jayakumar, National Co-ordinator of Value Education Programmes, Mount Abu, Rajasthan; and BK Gyana Sundari, Co-ordinator, Value Education and Spirituality, Tamil University, Thanjavur.

BK Mruthyunjaya in his speech said that in the present competitive challenging situation, each and every individual needs to inculcate virtues in his or her life so that their life becomes a holistic life.  In particular, awareness needs to be brought about virtues in youth. Only then, the youth will be saved from going on the wrong path, and can be saved from suicidal attempts. Self confidence and power to face any challenges are the need of the hour. Keeping this aim in mind, the course has been designed in such a way that one can explore, experiment and experience virtues. This course was started in 2017 and the first convocation is being held now.  He congratulated the students and requested one and all to join this course so that every individual becomes a holistic successful person.

BK Meenakshi  gave blessings and said that deterioration of values are the root cause of all the problems in the world. To establish a world of peace and happiness every person has to uplift himself with values.

Dr. BK Pandiamani, Director of Value Education Programmes, and BK Jayakumar, National Co-ordinator of the Value Education Programme, presented the felicitation address.

BK Uma, Co-ordinator of the Brahma Kumaris, Madurai Sub-Zone, welcomed the audience and BK Gyana Soundari, Co-ordinator, Value Education and Spirituality Courses at Tamil University, Thanjavur, presented the Vote of Thanks.

Diploma Certificates were issued to the students at the end of the program.
