Brahma Kumaris at Mundra College on “International Youth Day”
On the occasion of “World Youth Day,” the Mundra College of Arts and Commerce conducted a program in their college where the Brahma Kumaris Sisters from the local Centre in Mundra were invited to participate. They were given a cordial welcome by the college students.
Rajyogini BK Sushila, in-Charge of the local Brahma Kumaris Center, addressed the students and staff of the college with her sweet blessings for their successful happy future and spoke about the value and greatness of youthful life. She said that this phase of youthful life is like the Vasanth Ritu (springtime) when the Nature is full of new blossoming flowers, so beautiful. So also, the Youth are full of Vigour and Eager to do something great or special. She said that we have 54% of Youth in our country today. If they are given proper guidance our Nation can flourish easily and a better society will come into existence. It is very painful to see that such youth are wasting their vitality by falling prey to various harmful addictive materials. She said that India can be made stronger only when the youth get rid of their bad habits and develop how to think positively. She said that in the Brahma Kumaris there are 20 different Wings; the Youth Wing is one of them. They conduct various programs through which they try to bring out the dormant inner powers of youth by which they become useful for the Self and for the progress of the country.
BK Vijay motivated the students in many ways to liberate themselves from their addictions. He explained to them methods to quit bad habits.
The members of the Brahma Kumaris Youth Wing enacted a playlet through which they showed the dangerous effects of smoking, drinking alcohol and taking drugs, etc., to enlighten them about the risks they are incurring.
The Principal of Mundra College of Arts and Commerce, Mr. Rajdeep Singh Jadeja, along with the Professors, were present on the occasion. They were honoured by the Brahma Kumaris presenting them with Godly gifts and sweets.
At the end of the program the whole atmosphere reverberated with energy, and was filled with high spirits by the inspired students who started voicing the slogans of de-addiction and many of them taking an oath to completely discard these habits and to make life purposeful.
