Sister BK Deepa, In charge of Brahma Kumaris centre of Gariyadhar, felicitated the The Honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat state Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani , by presenting him a shawl and a godly gift The Honorable Chief minister arrived at Gariyadhar on 17th May 2018 to address a vast gathering of the local people and explained them the object and importance of “SUJALAM SUFALAM WATER PROJECT” project. He encouraged them to help and co-operate to save water and make it a success for the good of all. 
About “SUJALAM SUFALAM WATER PROJECT”
In order to save water, honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat has initiated, Sujalam, Sufalam Water Project from 1st May to 31st May 2018.
Aim object of this project is to save water from wastage, water for cultivation and drinking may not fall short and to bring awareness in public on this matter.
The State government of Gujarat is going to implement the following activities under this project:
1. In entir state more than 13,000 water ponds, encatchment areas and check dams will be made more deeper.
2. Desilting of more than 3,500 ponds, water storage areas and dams will be done.
3. 11 lacs 7831 cubic feet desilting will be done at 369 sites.
4. Bushes will be cleared which are obstructing the flow of water in rivers.
5. The polluted water coming into the rivers and ponds will be restricted.
6. More than 5400 km long water canals would be cleaned and necessary repair would be done.
7. In 10000 villages more than 23000 km long drinking water distribution pipelines with 23000 air valves would be checked and necessary repairs would be done.
8. Nearly 340 km long 32 rivers in 30 districts would be converted live.
9. Dirty water purification jobs would be done on fast track.
10. The object is to preserve 11000 lacs cubic feet of rainwater in future.
