Cleanliness is Purity: City Administration and Brahma Kumaris join hands in the Cleanliness Drive

Mount Abu: Cleanliness Drive was initiated by the City Administration and Brahma Kumaris as a joint mission at Mount Abu.

Nishant Jain, SDM said that cleanliness is purity. Every citizen must stay aware about the cleanliness of body, mind as well the cleanliness of the city just like their own house. For high quality cleanliness, the tourists must not litter the roads and the markets. The Managers of the business firms must put the garbage of the place in the assigned garbage bins.  He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Cleanliness Drive being run as a joint effort by City Administration and Brahma Kumaris at the Pandav Bhawan premises of the organization headquarters.

He said that those who purify their thoughts are able to clean their surroundings. Prime Minister himself has appreciated the cleanliness efforts done by Brahma Kumaris organization.

Suresh Thinger, Municipality president said that Brahma Kumaris are doing applaudable job to materialize the slogan of ‘Cleanliness is Service’. People must be strongly determined to maintain the beauty of the city rather than littering the surroundings with the household wastes and food items.

BK Shashi, the National Deputy Director of the Sports Wing of the organization emphasized on practice of meditation for environment conservation, security of wild life, maintaining the cleanliness of the various places and to purify the mind permanently.

The audience was also addressed by Sanjeev Kumar Pandey, Assistant Commandant, CRPF; Shyam Kumar, Wing Commander, Air Force; BK Sheilu, Rajayoga Teacher; BK Bharat, Engineer, Shantivan; Coloner Jitendra Singh etc.

The following participated in the Cleanliness Drive with great enthusiasm by cleaning the roads, markets, streets and making the people aware about cleanliness- Major B. Lambani, Army Subedar; Kartikeyan; Om Prakash Yadav; Sunil Aacharya, Councillor; Mangilal Kabra; Mukhtiar Khan; Rajkumar Parmar; Salil Kalma; Pankaj Mathur; Om Prakash; Shankarlal; Meena Devi; Ramesh Kumar; Mohar Singh, Principal, Saint Rajeshwar School; BK Bhanu; students of Saint Joseph School and Kendriya Vidyalays, Educational institutes, and Social workers from organizations like Lions Club.

The campaign was run at these places – From Adhardevi crossing to Dadi Prakashmani Chowk, the path around Nakki, from waterfall to Anadra point, from Nakki chowk to Tibbet Market, from Global Hospital to Governor House, Major Shaitan Singh Park, from Adhardevi Chowk to Dilwara parking, DIET, Saint Rajeshwar, Hanuman Temple, Fish Aquarium, via Nehru circle to Governor house, from Air Force Chowk to Dhundhai turn via Gujarat Circuit House, from Jungle Corner to Ambedkar Chowk via Library, Anupdas Hut, Dholpur House, Swaminarayan Temple via Circuit House and other tourist places of Mount Abu.

These areas were cleaned and the garbage was collected and the process of disposal by scientific method was carried out.
