Mohali (Punjab):  The ‘Khushiyan apke Dwar’ – “Happiness at Your Doorstep” Meditation Retreat was inaugurated by 21 eminent dignitaries by lighting candles in the Brahma Kumaris Complex, Sukh Shanti Bhawan, Phase 7, including Prof. Onkar Chand from Mount Abu; Brahma Kumari Prem Lata, Director of Rajyoga Centres Mohali Circle; Maj. General I.P. Singh, Director Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (Girls); Brahma Kumari Rama, Co-Director Rajyoga Centres Mohali-Ropar Circle; Mrs. Baldeep Kaur, Deputy, Excise & Taxation Commissioner, Mohali; Mr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma, News Head, All India Radio, Chandigarh; Mr. Gurcharan Singh Saran, former District and Session Judge; Mr. A.K. Saini, Deputy Collector (Vigilance); Mr. Charanjit Singh, State Incharge N.S.S. Punjab; Mr. Vipin Aggarwal, Chief Manager, S.B.I. Amritsar; Engr. N.S. Kalsi, former Chairman, H.O.C.L. Mumbai; Brig. (R) Jaspal Singh Pama; Mr. Jagmohan Singh Thukral, past president, Senior Citizen Association, Mohali; Mr. Ram Murti,  Managing Director, Arista Hotel Kharar; Mr. P.S. Brahma Kumari Prem Lata ,Director of Rajyoga Centres Mohali Circle, presided over the function and welcomed the guests. She opined that human nature accepts positivity and rejects negative traits. She further said Rajyoga can reduce our tension, worries and sufferings. Maj General I.P. Singh while presenting greetings  said happiness is inhabited in soul but due to ignorance people search it out.

Motivational and Keynote speaker of the Three-Day Retreat Prof. Onkar Chand of Mount Abu said one should shun the habit of comparison as it is the biggest enemy of happiness whereas happiness itself is a tonic with which the mind and body can become healthy.  He further said reduction of desires can enhance your happiness graph. Human beings have become slaves of money and lust of status these days. He emphasized that positive and right thinking pave the way for happiness and it  also disappears by blaming others. Selfishness, too many expectations from others, and ego are the main hinderances in harmony in relations said Prof. Onkar Chand. Self transformation and giving regard to others can be the best tools to reform others and maintain harmony in relations.

An overwhelming response from the audience was seen as all the halls of Sukh Shanti Bhawan were packed to capacity.
