Inauguration of 1 MW Solar PV Power Plant by Dadi Janki, Chief of Brahma Kumaris

Abu Road (Rajasthan): Rajyogini Dadi Janki, Chief of the Brahma Kumaris; Dadi Ratan Mohini, Joint Chief of the Brahma Kumaris; BK Nirwair, Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris; and Dadi Ishu, Joint Chief of the Brahma Kumaris, inaugurated the  1 MW PV Solar plot, at the India One Solar plant, near Shantivan, Abu Road. BK Jayanti, European Director of the Brahma Kumaris; BK Jyoti from Dubai; BK Hemlatha from Trinidad; BK Sudhir; BK Golo; BK Jaysimha; Mr. Manish Kumar, Director of Samhita Technology, and his other team members were present at the program.

By the inspiration of Respected BK Nirwair, General Secretary of the Brahma Kumaris, this new 1 MW PV Solar Plant was established. This was an important step on the path of Clean and Green Energy Production. On this auspicious occasion, BK Nirwair congratulated and gave blessings saying that “With the co-operation of Brahma Kumars and Kumaris from India and abroad, this project was completed, which will provide light during the day as well as in the night.”

Dadi Ratan Mohini gave hearty congratulations to all and said that, No matter how difficult the task is, keep performing every task with happiness and honesty. With bhavna (good feelings), every task can be completed and accomplished ahead of time.

Mr. Ranjit Maru, Executive Engineer of Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited in Abu Road, promised a Grid Sub Station (GSS) unit with a 33KV capacity near the Brahma Kumaris Shantivan campus.

Mr. Manish Kumar, Director of Samhita Technologies Private Limited, shared his experience with the Brahma Kumaris during the project.

BK Jayanti shared that, “It’s not just Rajayoga, but it is Karma yoga and this project is the practical proof of Karma yoga, and there is a lot of creativity and adroitness.”

BK Atam Prakash, Vice Chairperson of Media Wing of RERF, Brahma Kumaris, expressed that both God and nature are happy seeing how we are working towards saving the environment, and thanked everyone for attending the program. BK Sudhir, the pioneer of this project, well co-ordinated the whole program.

The current environment crisis is a clear call to transform our awareness and lifestyle. Therefore there is an urgent need for a new paradigm that integrates clean technologies into our day-to-day life.  In order to give a strong impulse towards the development of clean technologies and a sustainable society, the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University have been actively involved for 25 years in the research and demonstration of alternative renewable energy concepts.

The Brahma Kumaris are affiliated with ECOSOC, United Nations Energy Environmental program, and started a research centre more than 20 Years ago and was conducting research on:

1. Photo voltaic power packs  2. Solar system cooking systems 3. Water recycling technologies  4. Solar hot water plants  5. Solar passive architecture and 6. Solar thermal power which was recognised by the Government.

India One Solar Thermal Power Plant near Shantivan campus already has 770 nos. of 60 m² parabolic dishes and 1 MW peak electrical output which was completed in the year 2017 and generates heat and power for a campus of 25,000 people.
