“Prisoners Welfare Day” by Brahma Kumaris, Bhimavaram, at Special Sub Jail

Special Sub Jail Superintendent Mr. K. Durga Ramesh, Staff and Inmates celebrated the 150th Year of Gandhi Jayanti in their jail campus in Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh. On this occasion, local Brahma Kumaris Center In charge in Bhimavaram, BK Revathi, was invited as a Special Guest along with the 3rd Additional District Judge Mr. Chinnamsetty Raju as Honourable Chief Guest. Guests of Honor were Senior Civil Judge, Mr. V. Srinivas Rao; the Principle Junior Civil Judge Mrs. M.D.V.N. Sindhura; 1st Additional Junior Civil Judge Mr. Ch. Pavan Kumar; 2nd Additional Judicial 1st Class Magistrate Mrs.M.Vijay Rameswari and Bar Association President Mr. Newton.

On this occasion BK Revathi said, “Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, born in Porbunder, Gujarat, was very devoted from his childhood. He used to study and follow the teachings of Bhagvat Gita to face and solve any problem in life. He liked Spirituality, Prayers and once a week to observe full Silence. He had gained immense Power from Silence. His Principle was Truth and Non-Violence. Truth was God and his Weapon was non-Violence. Under all situations of joy and sorrow, fame and defamation, he was always tranquil. His believed in Simple Living, High Thinking. That’s why he used to say, “See no Evil, Hear no Evil and Talk no Evil”. When he was asked while on the Death Bed to give any Message to mankind, he said, “My Life itself is my Message.”  Thus Gandhi Jayanti was declared as “Prisoners’ Welfare Day”.
