“Respect – Give it, to take it” National Youth Day Celebrations by Brahma Kumaris

Brahma Kumari Shaku, Dombivali Centre in-Charge in Ghatkopar Sub Zone, Mumbai, organised a program to celebrate National Youth Day on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti.

The Youth Wing of Dombivali Brahma Kumaris organised two services, a Group Discussion on “Respect – Give it, to take it“, and a “Poster Making” Competition.

Some 225 students of 15 various colleges and institutes took part very sportively. Concerned Principals and Professors not only boosted the youth but they attended both Inaugural and Prize Distribution functions as Guests and Judges along with the Brahma Kumaris.

Guests were honoured with Badges and offered saplings of plants, then the lighting of the Inaugural lamps was done to commence the programs.

Mr. Tushar, Honourable Trustee of Gamdevi College, said, “Respect is not only to be given to elders, men of name and fame, but we must show Respect for material things, Nature, and even to small items like shoes.”

Mr. R J Singh, Principal of Indian Railway Centralised Electrical Training Institute and Trustee of Mahila Samiti College, and Mr. B N Waghmare, IRT, Principal of late Parvatibai Jondhale women’s Law College, both, laudably commended the Brahma Kumaris for their selfless services for all of mankind.

BK Shaku speaking on the topic of discussion said, “Respect is a Value; when inculcated in human life, the rest of the other Values like Courage, Humbleness, Politeness, etc., fall in line automatically on their own.” Quoting small inspiring stories she focused on the utmost importance of Respect in Speech. She highlighted Rajayoga as to how it is so helpful in acquiring Peace by Giving Respect.

Professor B B Ghavat, Mr. V S Adigal, and Mr. Avinash N Gosavi, former Principal, acted as Judges. Dr. Vivek Patil, Professor Manjiri Khanolkar, and Professor Shrikant Singh also graced the function.

During the Poster Making Competition, Dr. Padmaja Arvind, Principal of SIA College, asked all the Youth to be ever Happy in life.

Mr. Amit Mhatre, President of the Youth Association, stated that a student on the last bench too can be an expert in some Art. With his normal studies he can march ahead with the development of his Art. He can also become an Inspiration to other Youth.

Apart from these two dignitaries as Guests, Mr. Vaibhav Khute, an Indian Artist himself, and BK Ramnik were also present as Judges of the Poster Making Competition.

Mr. Mahendra Patil, Ms. Janhavi R Kolhe, and Madhuri Nandwar were in the program as Guests. On this occasion Professor Avinash Gosavi and Vijay T. felicitated BK Shaku with a Memento, and praised and expressed their gratitude to her for organizing this program so well.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize winners were presented a Memento and a Certificate. Each of the Youth were given a Certificate of Appreciation. All those who assembled for this National Youth Day Celebration were all given a Godly Gift. Overall the Function was very successful and enthusiastic.

बाद समाचार है कि, यूथ विंग के द्वारा स्वामी विवेकानंद जी के जयंति निमित्त जो 2 प्रकार की सेवायें “Focus Group Discussion – Respect – Give it, to take it” और “Poster Making competition” का कार्यक्रम सोचा गया था। उसका बहुत ही अच्छे रूप में ब्रह्माकुमारी डोंबिवली शाखा की ओर से 5 जनवरी को आयोजीत किया गया। जिसमें करीबन 15 कॉलेज/इन्स्टीटयूट ने भाग लिए और करीबन 200-225 Students ने Participate किया। । साथ ही साथ दोनों ही Project – “Focus Group Discussion – Respect – Give it, to Take it” 31T Poster Making Competition À GÌ College / Institution ने Participate किया उनके Principal और Professor ने भी न सिर्फ बहुत अच्छी रीति से युवाओं को प्रोत्साहित कर कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने के लिए उमंग दिलाया लेकिन वे खुद भी कार्यक्रम में बहुत ही उमंग से पहुंचे और कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाई।

दोनो ही कार्यक्रम के Inauguration और Prize Distribution में बहुत ही अच्छी तरह से Guest के रूप में Trustee/Principal आये।

और Competition के समय अलग अलग अन्य Colleges से Judges के रूप में Professor रहे तथा अपने B.K. Judges ने भी बहुत अच्छा सभी को उमंग दिलाया।

दोनो ही कार्यक्रम की शुरूवात 3 मिनट योग, मेहमानों को Bedge और पौधे से सन्मानित करके तथा दीप प्रज्वल्लन के साथ हुआ। तत्पश्चात ‘गॉवदेवी कॉलेज’ के ट्रस्टी माननीय भ्राता तुषारजी ने Respect के प्रति अपना वक्तव्य देते हुए बताया कि Respect हमें सिर्फ बड़ो का या प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तियों का ही नही करना हैं लेकिन हमें Respect वस्तुओं, प्रकृति, साधनों के साथ साथ जूते जैसी चीजो का भी करना हैं।

ब्रह्माकुमारी संस्था डोंबिवली ब्रांच की संचालिका ब्र. कु. शकु दीदीजी ने अपने मंतव्य में कहा की ‘आदर’ एक मूल्य है जिसे धारण करने से हमारे बहुत से अन्य गुण आहे है। जैसे कि धैर्यता नम्रता मधुरता आदि आदि साथ ही साथ प्रेरणादायी कहानियों के माध्यम से आदर में वाणी के महत्व को भी बताया और इस में परमात्मा द्वारा सिखाये राजयोग का कितना बड़ा सहयोग हमें मिलता उनसे हमें कैसे शांति मिलती है उस पर प्रकाश डाला।

Judges के रूप में Bro. Prof. B. B. Ghavat, Bro. V. S. Adigal, Ex. Principal Bro. Avinash N. Gosawi रहे। अन्य मेहमान Bro. Dr. Vivek Patil, Sis. Prof. Manjiri Khanolkar, Bro. Prof. Shrikant Singh ने कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाई।।

| इसी प्रकार Poster Making Competition में Dr. Padmaja Arvind (Principal, SIA College) ने युवओं को सदा प्रसन्न रहे ऐसी जीवन बनाने की प्रेरणा दी। Bro. Amit Mhatre (President of Youth Association) ने भी कहॉ कि Last Bench वाला युवा भी बहुत ही कलाओं से निपूण होता है तो पढ़ाई के साथ अपनी कलाओं के द्वारा हम कैसे न सिर्फ खुद आगे जा सकते हैं, लेकिन अन्य युवाओं के लिए भी प्रेरणास्त्रोत बन सकते हैं। इनके अलावा Judges के रूप में Bro. Vaibhav Khute (Indian Artist) तथा B. K. Judge Bro. B.K. Ramnik उपस्थित थे।

अन्य मेहमान Bro. Mahendra Patil, Sis. Ms. Janhavi R. Kolhe, Sis. Madhuri Nandwar ने कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाई।

| साथ साथ आ. शकु दीदीजी का भी मा. प्रोफेसर अविनाश गोसावी तथा विजय टी. ने मोमेंटो द्वारा सन्मान किया एवं इस कार्यक्रम को सुचारू रूप से क्रियान्वित करने के लिए दीदीजी का आभार प्रगट किया।

1st, 2nd & 3rd winners को momento तथा सभी Participants को Certificate प्रदान किया गया तथा मेहमानों को भी Momento से सन्मानित किया गया और सभी को बाबा के घर से ईश्वरीय सौगात और टोली भी दी गयी।

इस प्रकार यह सेवा बहुत ही अच्छे ढंग से संपन्न हुई।
