As a recognition of the services rendered by the Brahma Kumaris for the upliftment of the Society, the Nation and the World, Mr. Narendra Modi, the Indian Prime Minister, has declared Dadi Janki as Brand Ambassador of “Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan” or the “Clean India Mission”. Under this project, the Brahma Kumaris have adopted the Abu Road Railway Station and made it very neat, clean, and very attractive to look at. They are conducting cleaning programs at many places around Mount Abu.

It is to be noted that the Brahma Kumaris Organisation is participating in many such cleaning and maintenance activities in other areas of the town, wherever required.

As a part of National Project “Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan,” members of the Brahma Kumaris Center of Anandpuri Colony in Hathras have taken up an initiative to make the town look clean and tidy. They conducted a survey of the whole town of Hathras, along with the members of the District Public Forum and the Indian Citizens Welfare and Crimes Control Commission, and submitted their Observation Report to the Municipal Chairman Mr. Ashish Sharma, requesting and inviting him to lend his support for the successful completion of their mission.

The survey team stated above consisted of BK Shanta, Anandpuri Colony Centre in Charge; Mr. Harish Sharma, Advocate of the Indian Citizens Welfare and Crimes Control Committee; Mr. Amrut Singh Ponia, Vice President of the District Public Forum; Mr. Pradip Sharma, President of NIVO; Mr. Kapil Agrawal, President of SWAPO; and many dignitaries of the society. These members submitted their survey report and requested Mr. Ashish Sharma to come up with a plan to see the Hathras town neat and clean. He gave the report to Mr. Swadesh Arya, the Administrative Officer of Municipality, for perusal and time-bound planning.

On the subject of “Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan,” BK Shanta said, “In order to clean the external surroundings, we must first cleanse our mind because as the state of mind so we perceive others. Our performance depends on our perception of persons and things. Once we purify our thoughts, our mind becomes healthy and changing the external world becomes very easy and automatic.”
