‘Eradication of Stress and Enhancing of Inner Strength’ Program for CRPF
Wazirabad (Delhi): At the request of the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Gyan Sarovar (Mount Abu) in April 2018, a series of programs on ‘Eradication of Stress and Enhancing of Inner Strength‘ have been held at various locations of the CRPF across the country. A two-day program was conducted at the location of 103 CRPF Battalion of Rapid Action Force at Wazirabad in Delhi in November.
The program commenced with a Candle lighting; a brief introduction to the Brahma Kumaris and Security Services Wing (SSW) by BK Commodore A Ghosal, Retired from the Indian Navy; and a short Video on SSW activities from 2001 to 2018. A total of 6 Faculty members conducted the Program. Mr. Ashok, 2 IC (Second in Command) of the unit and 100 uniformed personnel including ladies attended the Program.
On both days, Sessions on Yogasan, Pranayam and Holistic Health were conducted by BK Dr. Dinesh Sharma of Delhi. A number of personnel consulted him for individual health issues and for steps for follow up.
Renowned BK Speaker Prof EV Gireesh (of Mumbai) conducted Sessions on ‘Stress Management and the Art of Happy Living’. He presented the topics with easy-to-follow practical tips and with his knack of holding the attention of the audience.
BK Deepa of Mumbai took a Session on ‘Self Empowerment’ wherein she explained with clarity how individuals could strengthen themselves internally to tackle the various types of stress that they faced in different situations.
BK Priyanka of Delhi dealt with the subject of ‘Harmonious Relationships’. She covered the interplay of 5 types of sanskars and the need for focus on oneself to develop comfortable relationships in all spheres of one’s interaction, including those in the family, work, social circle, etc.
BK Sarika of Delhi dwelt on the subject of ‘Positive Thinking’. She brought out easy steps for the audience to identify whether their thoughts were positive, negative, waste, routine or spiritually uplifting and the method for steering their thoughts towards positive.
BK Commodore A Ghosal (Retired) of Greater Noida covered the subject of ‘Sleep Management and Mental Empowerment’. The stages of sleep of REM (Rapid Eye Movement) or Dream stage and non REM, the sleep being in cycles of 90 to 110 minutes, the Wavelengths of Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta were covered as also the benefit of Rajyoga taking the practitioner to Alpha and Theta states. Dadi Janki’s ability to remain in Delta state through all activities was also mentioned whereas an average individual can only get to 45 minutes of Delta sleep in a 24-hour cycle naturally.
BK Priyanka and BK Sarika took meditation sessions which the audience found to be a unique experience. Many of them found it very calming, which they had never known before.
Towards the end of the program several individuals shared their experiences through the 2-day sessions. Mr. Ashok, 2 IC (Second in Command) gave the concluding remarks and requested for further rounds of programs periodically.
