Appreciation Award to Brahma Kumaris by City of Cupertino, Silicon Valley, USA

An enlightening talk by BK Sister Shivani, world renowned spiritual speaker, on the topic “Creating Your Destiny” was organised at the Santa Clara Convention Center by the Brahma Kumaris Silicon Valley Center in Milpitas, California, USA, which was attended by 2500 people.

Mrs. Savita Vaidhyanathan, Council Member, on behalf of the City of Cupertino, offered an appreciation award to BK Sister Shivani for her dedication to personal transformation and world renewal. The City also applauded her efforts to help people bring into their daily lives their most positive energy and deepest personal values.

Chief Guests on the dias were Ritu Maheshwari, representative for Dr. Romesh Japra, Convener, FOG; Jose Esteves, Former Mayor of the City of Milpitas; Savitha Vaidyanathan, Council Member, City of Cupertino; BK Sister Kusum, Director, Brahma Kumaris Silicon Valley Center, Milpitas; BK Sister Shivani; Kirsten Keith, Council Member, City of Menlo Park; Ash Kalra, District Assembly Member, State of California; and Ajay Bhutoria, Community Leader.

BK Shivani said, “Destiny is in your and only your hands. Take control of your own destiny. Whatever happens to you now is your creation from the past, and what happens in the future depends on how you choose to respond now.”

Medley songs by the Mayank Bisht Orchestra, dance, talk, candle lighting ceremony and meditation were all part of the event. BK Kusum Kejriwal, Director of the Brahma Kumaris Silicon Valley Center, Milpitas, thanked everyone for making the program a grand success.
