Brahma Kumaris Celebrate Diwali at Om Shanti Retreat Centre, Gurugram

Delhi: At the Om Shanti Retreat Centre, located in Bhodakalan, Gurugram, the festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Brahma Kumaris. On this occasion, songs, poems and skits were staged. People from Delhi and the surrounding areas gathered in great numbers, greeted each other, and lit the lamps.

Extending her Heartfelt greetings, BK Asha, Director of Om Shanti Retreat Center, said that Diwali is the symbol of lighting the soul through knowledge. Just like lighting a lamp finishes the darkness, similarly, the light of knowledge destroys the darkness of ignorance. She said that we should take a pledge on this Diwali that we shall maintain Good Wishes and pure feelings for everyone.

BK BrijMohan, Additional Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, said that we shall be able to celebrate true Diwali only when we pay attention to the inner cleanliness along with the outer cleanliness. He said that we actually need to light the lamp of our mind. We need to light up our minds so that the vices of hatred, envy, revenge, and inhumanity are destroyed forever. He said that Diwali is actually the memorial of the Golden Age. In the Golden Age, there was one religion, one state, one language and one dictate. There can be love, peace and happiness in the whole world only when there is unity of thoughts, beliefs, political status and religion. Now is the time, when we need to create the elevated world by imbibing moral and spiritual values.

On this holy occasion, BK Chakradhari, BK Sundari, BK Pushpa, BK Jai Prakash and BK Vijay also presented their views and extended their Diwali Greetings. On this special occasion, everyone practiced deep Rajayoga Meditation for World Peace.
