The 36th All India Conference on the subject “Mind, Body and Medicine” was held at Harmony Hall of Gyansarovar, jointly organized by the Brahma Kumaris and the Medical Wing of the Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation.

Delegates from various states of India came to attend the Conference in quite a large number. The function was inaugurated by lighting the Holy lamps by the elite guests.

The main speakers were Rajyogini Dadi Janakiji, Chief Administrative Head of the Brahma Kumaris; Rajyogi BK Pratap, Vice President of the Medical Wing; BK Shivani, World Famous Speaker of ‘Awakening with Brahma Kumaris’ on TV; and Dr. Archana Thakur, Director of G.B. Pant Hospital.

The program was presided over by BK Dr. Girish Patel, Vice President of the Medical Wing at Mount Abu, and BK Dr. Banarasilal, Secretary of the Medical Wing, who extended his hearty welcome to all those who came from far-off places to attend the Conference.

Dadi Janakiji said, “First of all Mind must be excellent. Next comes Body and thereafter Life becomes Joyful.” She said, “We must all be aware of three things – Who am I? Who is Mine? How to live in this World with Mutual Co-operation? In this seminar on Mind, Body and Medicine, Mind comes first. After learning what is Mind, we must always have positive thoughts to find out the solutions to our problems in life. We must always maintain perseverance in life.”

Rajyogi BK Pratap explained about the theme of the conference. He said that the object of this program is to render all the doctors powerful and Knowledgeful, which is possible when we treat not only the disease but see that the complete patient becomes healthy and happy.”

After the candle-lighting ceremony, Rajyogini BK Sister Shivani said, “Lighting the Diya (lamp) is a good omen. We now have lighted along with Dadi Janakiji. When light gets extinguished it is not considered as a good sign. Why so? In India Diya (in Hindi) means Given. When our Nature deviates from the habit of Giving, everything in life starts going wrong with us. So we must always think of Giving to others. Thus if one Lamp (Soul) gets lighted, it means it is awakened; then many more Souls get awakened by it.”

Dr. Archana Thakur, Director of GB Pant Hospital, said, “I have seen and participated in many seminars but this conference is amazingly awesome and unique. Here we are not only discussing the physical health of the Body but considering simultaneously about the healthy Mind.”

Mr. Rajit Mehta, Managing Director and CEO of Max Healthcare, shared his greetings and a video message with BK Nirwair, Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, was shown during the inaugural ceremony.
