Brahma Kumaris Address ‘Fighting Drug Menace’ Campaign

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh): A “Fighting Drug Menace” Campaign was organized by the Mishmi Welfare Society of Itanagar, in collaboration with the Mishmi Women’s Welfare Society of Tezu and Wakro, and the Brahma Kumaris. BK Dr. Savita, Senior Rajayoga Teacher and Head Quarters Coordinator of the Women’s Wing, RERF, Brahma Kumaris, addressed the audience. Dr. Sopai Toshik, Chairman, Mishmi Welfare Society, and Smt. Joya Tasung Moyang, General Secretary, ‘Women Against Social Evil,’ were the other dignitaries present on the stage.

Dr. Savita highlighted various complications due to opium and tobacco consumption which contain a nicotine substance that produces addiction. “Tobacco contains 4,000 harmful chemical substances and 43 chemical are cancerous. Strong will power, medicine, counselling, Rajayoga Meditation, and a Healthy balanced diet are the easy mechanism to overcome these addictions,” she advised through a power point presentation.
