Brahma Kumaris Address International Conference on ‘Social Responsibility and World Religions’ in Lahore, Pakistan

BK Charlie Hogg, National Co-ordinator of the Brahma Kumaris in Australia, was invited for an International Conference on Social Responsibility and World Religions organized by Minhaj University Lahore (MUL) and Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) held at the Minhaj University in Lahore, Pakistan.

BK Charlie Hogg was the Keynote Speaker along with the Minister for Religious Harmony, who was recently appointed by Imran Khan, the newly appointed Prime Minister of Pakistan. He spoke very passionately that all religions are equal and that the Government will respect the beliefs of all faiths. It was an Interfaith conference which was very well received by more than 500 audience members from various religious backgrounds including, Muslims, Christians, Hindus and Sikhs.

BK Charlie gave Greetings from Australia and said that “The future of the world is big heartedness and respect for others.” He said that “World Peace begins with Inner Peace” and when he shared the story of the Brahma Kumaris, the audience was very happy that it was founded in Pakistan and being run by women.

The second day began with panel discussions and in one of the panels, the Head of all Pakistan’s Higher Education said to the audience that “I am so happy that the Brahma Kumaris are here as I have been following them.”  BK Charlie was also part of a panel on “Human Rights and the Religions” in which the audience posed excellent questions.

BK Charlie won the Best Paper Award during the final session and the paper he presented was on the topic “Inner Peace: The first step to a more peaceful world,” which was completely about the Brahma Kumaris, the history and the teachings.

BK Charlie went to Karachi where he visited Brahma Baba’s (Founder of the Brahma Kumaris) home, and Kunj Bhawan, where BK Sisters lived in the early days.
