Brahma Kumaris at 15th Annual Yoga Workshop

Maharagama (Sri Lanka): Dr. Chamin Warnakula, the renowned yoga master in Sri Lanka, held his 15th annual yoga workshop at the National Youth Centre stadium in Maharagama. The full-day program was attended by 1,700 to 2,000 members of the public from many areas of the island covering a very good cross-section of individuals.

The former Commander of SL Army Lft. Genaral Daya Rathnayaka was the chief guest. Officers from the President’s security unit, leading business personnel, educationists, and prominent media personnel were guests of honor along with the Brahma Kumaris. BK Sreema took part on behalf of the Brahma Kumaris for the welcoming procession, the lighting of the traditional oil lamp and the opening ceremony of the event.

Dr. Chamin introduced Raja Yoga at this event and shared a presentation on ‘Raja Yoga for Stress-free Living’ followed by a meditation session for 2,000 people. The presentation was very professional and unique to the participants. He gave a good introduction of the Brahma Kumaris and Raja Yoga, sharing his personal experience before handing over the stage to the Brahma Kumaris. 

Nearly 1,500 notices were distributed to the public which carried the message of Raja Yoga and tips for Stress-free living.
