Brahma Kumaris Felicitated for Consistent Yogic Farming

Munagapaka (Andhra Pradesh): About 2,500 farmers were present at the Farmers Awareness Program organized in Munagapaka, Yelamanchili, arranged by the local Brahma Kumaris center of Tulsi Kala Vedika. The Chief guest was BK Raju, Vice-Chairperson of the Rural Wing of the Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation from Mount Abu, who was felicitated by local MLA P. Ramesh Babu.
BK Raju, addressing the farmers, said that organic farming gives a very healthy yield. Speaking on Consistent (Shaswat) Yogic Farming, he said that most of the farmers are using chemical fertilizers for reaping a faster yield and income, but, fertilizers are very harmful to the crops and spoiling the health of the people, causing various illnesses. He said that if the farmers can tend cows, the natural manure available by them can be used in the fields which yields a greater increase of much healthier products. There is no long-term benefit due to chemical manures and the use of organic manures is always better.
On this occasion, MLA P. Ramesh Babu said that if the farmers want to be stable and live happily, they must essentially use natural organic manures.
Program Co-ordinator BK Someshwari from Visakhapatnam, BK Sumanth from Mount Abu, BK Annapurna, BK Sashi, BK Shyamala, along with other farmers and locals were present in the program.
A beautiful stall was set up explaining the importance of yoga in farming, which was an attraction for locals.
