Brahma Kumaris HQ Diwali Celebration at Om Shanti Bhawan, Mount Abu

Pandav Bhawan and Om Shanti Bhawan, the main campuses of the Brahma Kumaris Head Quarters (HQ) in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, glittered with a thousand lights and the atmosphere was festive last night as more than three thousand people from about 30 countries gathered together with enthusiasm to celebrate the beautiful and ancient Indian Festival of Lights, Diwali. True to the mission of the Brahma Kumaris, the program offered music, songs, dance and a live show of deities as a backdrop for its delivery of a unique and powerful spiritual interpretation of the meaning of Diwali.

Joint Chief Administrator of the Brahma Kumaris, Dadi Ratan Mohini, in her address on this festival occasion, said that when we awaken soul consciousness, the darkness in the mind will vanish. A person who is well-behaved, has renunciation, is tapasvi (yogi) and egoless, can only become an ideal personality.

General Manager of the Brahma Kumaris, BK Munni, said that festivals are a bridge between the ancient culture and traditions of India which are instrumental for the improvement of National Unity.

Director of Gyansarovar Academy, BK Dr. Nirmala, stated that good thoughts in the sub conscious mind enhances mental strength and cheerfulness.

Program Co-ordinator and National Co-ordinator of the Sports Wing, BK Shashi, stated that positive thoughts have the superior power of creating a new life, new society and the new world.  She welcomed all the senior Dadis and senior Brahma Kumars onto the dias and invoked the presence of senior most Rajayogis (Dadis) who left their bodies and served tirelessly for the establishment of the Brahma Kumaris and thereby the establishment of the new Golden Aged world (Satyug) where the First Diwali is celebrated.

Chief of Multi Media of the Brahma Kumaris, BK Karuna, mentioned that the famous festival of Diwali is instrumental in developing inner light in the universe. Director of Global Hospital, Dr. Partap Midha, expressed that by having positive thoughts and Rajayoga meditation, the soul receives the enlightenment of sober feelings. On this occasion, BK Rajani from Japan, BK Bhopal, BK Bharat, and BK Gopal also expressed their feelings.

The candle-lighting ceremony brought representatives from around the globe together as they honored the light within, the light that makes us all brothers and sisters, the light of the soul.  A cake cutting was done in celebration of the birthdays of BK Munni and BK Shashi as part of the celebration.

Children from Vadodara, according to ancient Indian culture, presented various dances depicting the importance of different deities.  Their performances were enchanting to the visitors from foreign countries and India.
