Brahma Kumaris of Kathua Celebrate Janmashtami Festival

Krishna Janmashtami, also called Janmashtami and Gokulashtamiis, is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna. The Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya of Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir celebrated Janmashtami on Tuesday. On the occasion Shridar Patil, SSP, of Kathua, accompanied by Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Director of the Social Welfare Department, inaugurated and presided over the function as Chief Guests. The cultural programme was very colourful, performed through Jhankis and songs related to the festival.

The participants appreciated and also encouraged the children performing at the function. Sister BK Veena, Incharge of the Brahma Kumaris of Kathua, also highlighted with regard to attaining the holy highest status of the first prince of the golden age Shri Krishna.

Both the Chief Guests also appreciated the programme and shared hope for such a celebration of the famous spiritual festival in the future with similar high spirit. BK Manu, Dr. Moga, BK Palvi, BK Priyaka, BK Jyoti, BK Rimpy, BK Shusma and BK SitaKant were also present.
