Brahma Kumaris Receive Recognition by the City of Milpitas, USA

Ms. Marsha Grilli, Vice Mayor, City of Milpitas, offered BK Sister Shivani recognition for being a world spiritual leader, ambassador of peace and spiritual speaker, and for promoting peace initiatives and human values around the world during the event “HARMONY IN RELATIONSHIPS” held at the Santa Clara Convention Center, in Santa Clara, California, by the Brahma Kumaris Silicon Valley Center of Milpitas, California, USA.

Lisa Gillmor, Mayor, City of Santa Clara; Marsha Grilli, Vice Mayor, City of Milpitas; Raj Salwan, Council Member, City of Fremont; Satya Kalra, Founder, Path to Anandam; BK Sister Kusum Kejriwal, Director, Brahma Kumaris Silicon Valley Center, Milpitas; and Kansen Chu, District Assembly Member, along with his wife, Ajay Bhutoria, Community Leader, were the main guests at the event.

BK Shivani emphasized that “You can only change others when you change yourself. Change begins from you.  Accept people as they are, don’t gossip and talk about their weaknesses; uplift and empower them with blessings.”

The program included a skit on the topic “Harmony in Relationships,” a talk and meditation by BK Shivani, followed by distribution of sweets to all the 2500 attendees.
