Chinese Retreat at Serve Africa Retreat Center in Nairobi

Some 150 Chinese arrived in 5 buses at the Serve Africa Retreat Centre in Nairobi, for a half-day retreat.  This was a group of parents and children.  A variety of experiences were given to them from the time they arrived.  They were welcomed with a tilak and given a T-shirt with a “Write to God” logo.  The chanting of Om was going on in the hall with conducted meditation while they all settled in.  BK Vedanti, Regional Co-ordinator of the Brahma Kumaris in Africa, shared on parenting: How to nurture children wisely and how to maintain this high energy after returning home.

BK Elizabeth gave a guided meditation commentary.

BK Kiuri gave a Tai Chi performance and shared the connection of Raja Yoga with the Meditative Power of Tai Chi.

BK Dipti took them through a couple of activities on how to use values in daily life and to be creative; they also had their rakhis tied.

During the break they had a chance to write a letter to God and post their letters in the Write to God Post box.
