Keep Alive the Christmas Spirit Forever

Makati (Phillipines): A beautiful Christmas celebration was organized in the Philippines which was presided over by BK Rajini, National co-ordinator of the Brahma Kumaris in the Philippines and Japan. In an inspiring interaction with the participants, she shed light on the real meaning of Christmas and strongly encouraged people to keep the spirit of Christmas alive every day of the year. She said that Christmas means Giving. One must learn the art of giving unconditionally where one will automatically receive. The aim is to make the individual soul shine bright like a star. This can be done by imbibing the three qualities of Tolerance, Understanding and Accommodation. She gave wonderful examples to put forth this vision. Tolerance should be practiced like a tree, but with balance, meaning that one should bend but with self respect. Accommodation can be learned from the ocean,which is generous and ever- flowing. It takes everything in but keeps nothing within. Understanding means to be non-judgemental within and calm outside. Everyone is unique and has their own karma to fulfill. If these three virtues are practiced, the Christmas spirit can become a living reality.
