“Light House,” the Brahma Kumaris Center in St. Petersburg, Russia, organized a program on the topic “Life in Harmony: the Confluence of High Values and Clean Energy” with key note speakers BK Golo Pilz (Germany), adviser in renewable energy, Brahma Kumaris and World Renewal Spiritual Trust, and BK Sonja Ohlsson, meditation teacher (Copenhagen), international coordinator of the Brahma Kumaris Environmental Initiative.

Sonja Ohlsson shared: How serious is the situation with climate changes? When I understand this, I also understand how very strong I should be to withstand with all of this. My inner resilience should be very strong. In order for my resilience to grow, all studies show that three thing are needed. And all three things are related to meditation. First – I need to face reality, to face the truth. Whether this is truth that is personal, global or environmental. Second – in order to progress in work I need a spiritual framework. To keep going forward no matter what. And third – I need to be very creative and innovative to find new solutions. The world wants new solutions. On a personal level we also need solutions. And meditation is a great help in this.

Golo Pilz said that, When you are happy, when you are smiling, you have a totally different impact because your inner world radiates in the outer world. Remember the experiment of quantum physics: my thoughts are connected to the world. So the essence of our environmental initiative: rethink, reuse, reduce, recycle. We now have to reduce the level of our consumption … Then we choose only good technologies. We buy only what we need. And we change our planet Earth. What is needed for a better world: yoga and a change of conscious, inner peace, unity and values because technologies are already there.
