National Seminar and Meditation Retreat on “Integrating Spirituality in Scientific Research” in Lucknow

Under the auspices of the SpARC Wing of the Brahma Kumaris, the local BK Centre of Munshi Pulia organised a Seminar and Meditation Retreat on “Integrating Spirituality in Scientific Research” at the auditorium of ICCMRT for Scientists, Researchers, Medical Doctors, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) of Lucknow, in Lucknow.
BK Jaishri, local Centre in Charge, in memory of God welcomed the Honourable Chief Guest Professor S.P. Singh, Vice Chancellor, Lucknow University; Special Guest Professor Balraj Chowhan, Vice Chancellor, VD University, Jabalpur; Guest of Honour Mr. Rajiv Yadav, Director, ICCMRT, Lucknow; Zonal Co Ordinator of SpARC Wing and NCR Delhi Rajyogini BK Saroj; BK Ekta; and finally BK Aditi Singhal, who has been honoured by the Guinness and Limca Books of Record Holders, to come onto and honour the Dias.
Mr. S.P. Singh said, “Brahma Kumaris is such a unique and wonderful University, where no admission test is ever being conducted, people of any age group, from any section of the society, and of any religion, can study together and from only one teacher all through.” He further said, “The purification of thoughts in mind and intellect by the Spiritual Power of Raja Yoga improves concentration remarkably, which is very essential for Scientific Researchers. The results found will be very pleasant, useful, and beneficial to the society.”
Professor Balraj Chowhan expressed his feelings, “Establishment of noble society is possible only by the teachings of the Brahma Kumaris.” He clarified that, in order to make our lives full of happiness, it is necessary to eliminate differences of opinions and feelings from our heart and inculcate spiritual values, thereby we can form a beautiful and peaceful society.
Rajyogini BK Saroj then elaborately explained the importance of spirituality. She emphasized that, for the success of scientific research, it is necessary to pay attention to all matters and problems in the light of spiritual values. There must be control over the flood of thoughts to have better concentration in the research activities, which then yields good and beneficial results useful for human society. She discussed how to control thoughts, for which she said that we must not have clash of ideas, the actions must be in accordance with our thoughts (hands and head), and there should be proper communication among different souls.
The motivational speaker of the SpARC Wing, BK Dr. Adithi Singhal, said that Scientific Research receives strength by the values of positive thoughts. Thereby the research will come out with good results that become beneficial for all.
The next day, Raja Yoga retreat was held at the Munshi Pulia Center of the Brahma Kumaris from 6 am to 8 pm. It was conducted by BK Saroj, BK Ekta and BK Dr. Adithi Singhal.
At the end of the function, Toli (sweet) was given to each participant by BK Saroj.
Lastly BK Jaishri extended her vote of thanks to all and wished them a very happy, peaceful and bright future.
