The Brahma Kumaris Centre at Shiva Vardhan Bhawan in Rajgarh (Madhya Pradesh) arranged a Live “Chaitanya Deviyon ki Jhankiyan” (Display of Living Decorated Deities) in which Goddesses Laxmi, Durga and Saraswati are seen blessing the devoted public.

The function was inaugurated by lighting the inaugural lamps by the Chief Guest Mr. Raghunandan Sharma, Vice President of Madhya Pradesh State Handloom Village Industry, along with other Special Guests, City Municipal Chairman Mrs. Mangala Shailaja Gupta, Gurjar Society State President Mr. Shyam Singh Gurjar, Social Worker Mr. Inder Singh, Income Tax Officer Mr. Sudhir Kumar Meena, and Sisters BK Madhu and BK Kavita. Then all the Guests waved Camphor Light (Arati) to the Deities with devotion.

Mr. Raghunandan Sharma gave his best wishes to all and said, “Goddess means one whose Nature at heart is always Giving and Helping.” He said that the Navratri festival inspires us to imbibe Divine Powers. He said that to acquire Benevolent Powers one must go to learn Rajyoga at the Brahma Kumaris Centre.

Mrs. Mangala Shailaja Gupta said, “On coming here we experience calmness and peacefulness. Here everything seems so natural.”

Mr. Shyam Singh Gurjar said that we must put an end to all our inner negative traits and our weaknesses.

Mr. Inder Singh also expressed his hearty greetings to all on this festive occasion.

BK Surekha explained the inner spiritual meaning of Navratri and said, “It is not about the 24 hours day and night. It is when mankind on Earth is overshadowed by the darkness of ignorance, violence, evil and sinful activities, Supreme Soul, SHIVA descends and gives the knowledge and teaches men to tread the righteous path of spirituality. Those who follow His directions in life, inculcate divine qualities and acquire 8 powers are being worshipped as Goddesses with 8 Limbs.” She said, “We must awaken our Soul with the light of God’s wisdom and kill the demons Madhu, Kaitabh, Dhoomralochan and Mahishasur who are none but our own harmful vices polluting our mind.” She asked everyone to understand the significance of this Festival and try to kill the negativity within us.

BK Madhu greeted all with her best wishes and blessings of Mother Durga. She said that a Kalash full of water is kept near the Goddess and a Lamp burning constantly for all 9 days, which is symbolic that our Intellect must also be ever-full of Spiritual knowledge imparted by God, with the light of the soul ever-shining the Light of Divinity from us. Thereby we become alert from committing mistakes and will be able to make right decisions at the right time.

During the function Kumari Varsha entertained the audience with her graceful dance performance.

BK Madhu honoured the Guests with Godly gifts while BK Seema handled the entire function very smoothly and successfully.

Lastly, before closing all the women folk performed a Garbha Dance, a symbol of joy and high spirits, followed by the distribution of Toli (Sweet).
