Ten-Day Environmental Awareness Campaign by Brahma Kumaris, Korba

The closing session of the 10-day environmental mass Awakening campaign was held at Vishwa Sadbhavna Bhavan by the Brahma Kumaris of Korba.  Environment Protection Mandal Korba appealed to the masses to not use plastic bags.

Dr. Tara Sharma, Mr. R.P. Sinde Regional Environment Officer, Ena, Principal of Minimata Girls College, said that somewhere the change is needed.

Dr. Chandravati Nageshwar said that today plastic has become a part of our lives. But seeing the pollution caused by it, the use of plastic bags need to be stopped. There is a need to bring a change in our habits.

BK Rukmini, chief coordinator of the Brahma Kumaris of Korba, said let’s all take a resolution today that we will carry a cloth bag whenever we go to the market. She also said there is a need to make our thoughts pure.

In a discussion held at the Rajgamar Recreation Club, Jagdish Das, Subarea Manager of Rajgamar; Mr. Chandraprakash Agrawal; Mr. Santosh Sahu, teacher; Mr. Balram Rathod, Literateur; and Mr. S.R. Nirala expressed their views.

BK Vedanti gave an everlasting peace experience through Rajyoga meditation to all. Mr. Bharata Atmaram, Panna District Panchayat member; Mr. Janardan Singh, former head; and Mr. Jawahar Lal Tanadan, Ayurveda Clinic, also expressed their views. Mr. Udaynath Sahu coordinated the program and K.C. Debnath delivered the vote of thanks. The results of a drawing competition were declared and the winners were rewarded. First was Mr. Nishant Urav, Second Mr. Kuldeep Kumar, and Mr. Rahul Kumar was awarded the third position. Tree planting was carried out at the end of the program.
