Week-Long Yoga Festival in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh

The Brahma Kumaris launched a Seven-Day Week-Long Yoga Festival on the premises of Dhamtari to commemorate the June 21st International Yoga Day. The chief guests were Mrs Ranjana Sahu, Chairperson, District Panchayat, Dhamtari; Mr Rajendra Sharma, Chairman, Municipal Corporation, Dhamtari; BK Navneeta; BK Saras; and BK Sarita.
On this occasion, BK Sarita addressed the people by saying that the state of the mind has a direct connection with the health of the body of a person. Along with external hygiene, we should also pay attention to the internal hygiene of the mind. Inner hygiene comes from inculcating divine virtues in life. In the present time, everyone is wanting to be liberated from their lives, but all the efforts are external, while the root cause of all the misery and disturbance is within. Therefore the pathway to liberation can also be found within. If there is happiness inside, then our words and behaviour will reflect the same. For every soul in the world, always be positive; elevated thinking is essential for good health. In the morning, one must create pure thoughts, such as: “I am a divine spirit, I am a great soul, I am a charitable soul, and I am the best soul.”  These thoughts awaken our consciousness towards elevated thinking. Mrs. Ranjana Sahu said that, because of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 5000-year-old ancient yoga has received recognition and has been accepted all over the world. Through Rajyoga we can keep both our mind and body healthy.
