Kalasurya Foundation of Ahmedabad organized a function called ‘Let Daughters have Wings’ in honour of women. The function was inaugurated by Brahma Kumari Nandini of the Brahma Kumaris. The theme of the function was to give freedom to our daughters in moving ahead with their own ambitions to attain new heights in life.
The programme was organized on the occasion of Mothers Day, 2018 which was formally inaugurated with Candle-Lighting by BK Nandini, Swami Vishwanand, the Director of the Kalasurya Foundation sister Sangeeta Patel, former MLA Mr. Surendra Rajput and Mr. Jatin Modi. The programme was coordinated by RJ Radhika of the Radio City Ahmedabad who introduced the guests on the stage. Emphasizing the role of mothers and sisters in rejuvenating the present world of decaying values and morality, BK Nandini highlighted that they are leading the society with their positive and creative contribution in almost all spheres of life. This is evidence enough to justify that woman is no longer a helpless ‘dumb driven cattle’ as she was treated in the olden days. She is in fact the strong foundation of a happy family, flourishing society and a successful state and the country. The true womanhood can be seen in the success of a person where it shows itself as a sacrificing and dedicated mother who goes on to serve one and all, be it a sister, a daughter or a daughter-in-law. It was quite pleasing to see about 350 mothers with their above-one-year-old daughters and all dressed as what they wished to be in future.
Some of the well known participants included Mrs.United Nations Classic-2017 sister Nipa Singh; famous child singer Tanishka Sanghvi; founder of Ahmedabad Police Heart Rujhan Khambata; famous mother of the Gujarati films Gita Agrawat and social worker Jaishri.
