Brahma Kumaris at the Anniversary of “Apna Ghar Ashram” in Hathras

It was the anniversary of the Home for mentally challenged and impoverished people in Anandpuri Colony, Hathras, known in the town as “Apna Ghar Ashram.”

Members of the Brahma Kumaris Center at Anandpuri Colony, Hathras, under the guidance of BK Shanta, Centre in-Charge, lent their active co-operation to manage the event along with its Manager Mr. Madan Mohan Varshneya.

It is said, “God neither punishes nor He excuses anyone for their Karma (action) they perform.” It is the results of their bad or good deeds that are being weighed and accordingly justice gets declared. The switch button of pleasure and pain is in one’s own hands to put it on or off. This is the Divine logic of Karma. This is clearly seen happening in the world but the human eyes are covered with a veil of his own evil tendencies therefore he is unable to see the truth and becomes careless about the consequences.

BK Shanta was addressing the gathering on this occasion. She said, “As we sow so we reap. We don’t get mango by sowing wheat. Everyone is aware of this fact. If this is viewed through the logic of Karma then surely we can emerge the Divine qualities that are latent in us.” She explained the philosophy of Karma to the audience. She said, “Whatever we do to others today, the same will rebound on us one day or the other. No one can ever escape from it. Therefore it is necessary to do good to others at least from now to reap good fortune in the future. As human beings it’s our duty to do charitable service to the needy and helpless.”

It is noteworthy that “Apna Ghar Ashram” is doing the same by supporting, caring and helping the homeless with love and compassion.

A charming child Nancy welcomed all by dancing to the song “Ye angan ye dware … suraj sitare . . .  swagat barambar hai”.  It was enjoyed by one and all.

Mr. Rajesh Diwakar, MLA from Hathras, extended his best wishes to all those inmates of the Ashram and assured his full co-operation and help to Apna Ghar.

BK Rakesh Agrawal was felicitated by the Ashram for his untiring services for the Anniversary function. Many other dignitaries of the town were present to grace the occasion.
