Launch of Rakhi Festival for 15 Days by Brahma Kumaris of Hathras

Raksha Bandhan in India is a holy festival that eliminates the differences of religion, nationality, colour and creed in the society. It is a symbol of cultural unity and brotherhood.

Rajyogini BK Shanta, Centre in-Charge of Anandpuri Colony in Hathras, launched the Raksha Bandhan program to be continued for 15 days in the august presence of Mr. Upendra Singh Tiwari, Minister of State for Water Supply, Land Development, Water Resources, Barren Land Development, Forest, Farms and Department of Co-operation; Mr. Ajay Deep Singh, Commissioner; Municipal Chairman Mr. Ashish Sharma; Mr.Rajesh Diwakar, MP; and Upper District Collector Mrs. Rekha S. Chowhan. They were each tied with a holy Rakhi on the occasion.

BK Uma and BK Neetu organised in their areas of Hasayan Block, Ladpur Area, and other places. They encouraged Brothers to leave their bad habits and inspired all the Sisters to become Shiv Shaktis (powerful) to fight against Evil in the society.

BK Shanta asked the audience about the true significance of this Holy Rakhi, that it is not merely tying a thread on one’s hand but it is taking an oath to wipe out the darkness of Evil that has engulfed the society today and spread the Light of Spiritual Wisdom. Expressing her concern over the state of increasing evil tendencies among people, she said that it is necessary to cultivate Self Confidence not to commit any Sin before becoming a culprit himself. She gave inspiration to become such burning lamps that may eliminate the ignorance of all people without any distinction in mind, but not the one that may put their own house on fire.

Soul empowerment is possible only by the Self realization taught by God Himself. Man is a social creature, so he must consider all the men alike without any bias. Raksha Bandhan is a holy knot. Where there is Holiness, there is Peace and Happiness. Today the influence of Purity and Cleanliness is vanishing from the society due to which sorrow, unrest, fighting and jealousy are pervading everywhere in the world.
