Mega Farmers Meeting: “Empowered Farmer and Prosperous Village”

The Brahma Kumaris Center of Budaun in Uttar Pradesh organised a Mega Farmers Meeting in the campus of Islamia Inter College to enlighten the farmers about “Shaswat Yogic Kheti” (Consistent Yogic Farming), the Ancient Indian Traditional Way of Farming with the Power of Yoga.
It was inaugurated by lighting the lamps by local MLA Mr. Mahesh Chandra Gupta; Senior Police Commissioner Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh; Assistant Agricultural Director Mr. Badri Vishal Tiwari, Lucknow; Chief Development Officer from Kasgunj Mr. Srinivas Mishra; District Agricultural Officer, Budaun Mr. Vinod Kumar; BK Raju, Vice Chairperson of the Agriculture and Rural Development Wing from Mount Abu; BK Manorama, Zonal Director at Prayagraj in UP, and BK Saroj.
Mr. Mahesh Chandra Gupta said that the seeds sown with goodwill will definitely yield good crops. He said, “India will once again be the World Teacher on the basis of its Culture. It will lend the message of Goodwill and Peace to the world.”
The Main Speaker of the occasion, BK Raju, said, “Presently farmers out of greed to earn more money are using chemical fertilizers and poisonous insecticides in their cultivation without any hesitation. Initially that provided good yield but the grains and vegetables also contained traces of pesticides. It has slowly created many critical diseases like Cancer and Blood Pressure, etc. Killed earthworms used to keep the soil fertile. Use of Chemical Manures spoiled the yielding power of earth. The human and animal death rate also increased.” He suggested that the farmers adopt the ancient method of farming using natural bio manure and transmitting Yogic Power to the field and crops for better nutritious yield. He said, “The Mind also becomes influenced by food made out of grains produced by the Power of God.”
BK Manorama said, “If we have good thoughts for others, mutual goodwill naturally develops. That is the only way to empower the Self. Rishis (Sages) and Krishi (Farming) were the pride of our India.” She said, “Goodwill comes in us from our Truthfulness and the Power of Truth comes in us by constantly keeping God in memory.”
BK Rajendra from Palval said that if farmers do cultivation with love, compassion and pleasure then all others will naturally become friendly with them. He asked them to pledge to take care and save the cows.
Mr. Badri Vishal Tiwari shared information about the programs implemented by the Government for the welfare of the farmers. He said that if the food and mind are pure then all the problems in the world will get solved. This he said is possible only through Rajyoga.
Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh gave his best wishes to all and said that whatever has been given to us by Nature must be used carefully and properly by all. He mentioned that when plants are influenced by our good thoughts then why can it not influence mankind? He therefore said that if we develop goodwill for all and perform our duties perfectly, a Peaceful and Friendly atmosphere in society will be established by itself.
On this occasion many other dignitaries including Mr. Khizar Ahmed, Mr. Deepmala Goyal, Mr. Ramjas Aneja, Mr. Harmesh Singh, Mr. Dhirendra Yadav, Mr. Dharmendra Singh, Mr. Virendra Dhigda, Mr. Surjit Gupta, Mr. Akshat Ashesh, Mr. Nekpal Singh, Mr. Naresh Shankdhar and Mr. Munnalal Shakya were also present.
An exhibition was also arranged in which Gokul Village, Consistent Farming and Village Development, especially attracted the public interest. There was an Eye Camp where many villagers had their eyesight tested for free.
In a cultural program for the public entertainment, BK Dileep from Mumbai rendered melodious songs. School children performed enchanting dances with rhythm and harmony that lifted the spirits of the audience, as expressed by their applause.
Before the commencement of the program, BK Raju was taken in a procession on a Chariot all around the city of Budaun. Soon after the candle lighting was over, BK Saroj welcomed all the guests and the public to receive benefit by the knowledge of Yogic Farming. BK Rakhi presided over the function quite successfully.
BK Karuna expressed gratitude for the public participation until the end and gave a vote of thanks to all for making their services a grand success.
