Brahma Kumaris Imphal Launches ‘10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign’

Imphal, Manipur: The Brahma Kumaris, Imphal Centre, organized the launching ceremony of the “10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign”, aligning with the nationwide initiative to inspire youth and citizens to lead a healthy, addiction-free life. The programme was graced by Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur, as the Chief Guest. Shri Konthoujam Govindas Singh, Hon’ble Home Minister of Manipur, presided over the function. The event was also attended by Rajyogini BK Nilima, In-charge of Brahma Kumaris, Manipur; Dr. Jugindra Sorokhaibam, Director, Medical Services, Shija Hospitals & Research Institute; Dr. R.K. Lenin, Professor of Psychiatry, RIMS, Imphal; Smt. Ima Puinabati Konsam, Social Activist; and Dr. N. Irabanta Singh, Vice President, The Association of Indian Private Universities (AIPU), as Guests of Honour.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to restoring lasting peace in Manipur and ensuring justice for every crime committed during the ethnic conflict, emphasizing that those responsible would be held accountable.

Highlighting the significance of the campaign, he said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 can be realized only if the country’s youth remain free from substance abuse. Referring to the nationwide addiction-free campaign launched recently, he expressed pride that Manipur is actively participating in this national movement.

On the occasion, the Hon’ble Chief Minister presented the Universal Peace Ambassador Award to Rajyogini BK Nilima, In-charge, Brahma Kumaris, Manipur, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to spiritual service, value education, and social welfare.

The programme concluded with a collective pledge by the participants to promote an addiction-free society and contribute towards building a healthier, value-based, and developed India.
